Our Early Learning PhilosophyInspired By Nature. Guided By Play. Connected Through Community. | |
|
At Creekside Kids Early Learning Centre, our philosophy guides everything we do, from our curriculum and learning environments to the relationships we build with children, families and community. Our approach is built around five key values: Environment, Education, Diversity, Respect and Community. These values shape our everyday practices and reflect our commitment to creating meaningful early learning experiences where children feel confident, capable, connected and valued.

EnvironmentWe immerse children in natural environments that foster a strong sense of self, belonging and connection with the world around them. Set on approximately 10,000sqm of outdoor space, our Early Learning Centre embraces nature-based learning through creek exploration, outdoor play, animal interactions and open-ended experiences inspired by the natural world. Children are encouraged to explore both fauna and flora while developing curiosity, environmental awareness and respect for the world around them. | EducationChildren Have A Right To Play Our educators create intentional and child-led learning environments that encourage creativity, problem-solving, independence and a genuine love of learning. STEM concepts are naturally embedded within our play-based curriculum, encouraging children to investigate, experiment, create and discover through science, technology, engineering and mathematics in meaningful and age-appropriate ways. |
DiversityWe believe diversity is an essential part of a rich, inclusive and vibrant Early Learning Centre. We celebrate the cultural backgrounds, traditions, experiences and individuality that each child, family member and educator brings to our learning community. At Creekside Kids, we are committed to creating an environment where every child and family feels welcomed, respected, celebrated and empowered. | RespectOur team of professional educators values respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues and community. We believe children’s voices, ideas and perspectives matter, and we actively encourage children to participate in their learning and daily experiences. Through reflective practice, ongoing professional learning and meaningful interactions, our educators create nurturing environments built on trust, kindness and mutual respect. | CommunityAs part of the small rural town of Cootamundra, we value strong connections with families, neighbours and local organisations. By building meaningful relationships and engaging with our wider community, we create a supportive and connected environment where children feel a true sense of belonging. Together, we strive to create a caring Early Learning Centre that reflects the heart of our community and supports children in becoming active and confident participants in the world around them. |
